About the Hide black filled icon

A wide almond eye with a circular iris is cut by a long diagonal line that runs past both corners, the standard mark for switching something out of view. It reads as hidden, private, invisible or off. Put it on password fields as a show-hide toggle, in privacy settings, on incognito browsing modes, beside muted posts in feeds and next to hidden layers in design tools.

Two symmetrical arcs form the eye, and the slash crosses the iris at 45 degrees with no gap, so the cancel reads even at 16px. Pair it with the matching visible eye icon for a two-state toggle and keep both on the same baseline.

This is the solid black filled version of the hide icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.

It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
