About the Deaf Muted Speaker black filled icon

A loudspeaker cone faces right toward three curved sound arcs, and a bold diagonal slash cuts across the whole group to cancel them out. It is the standard way to show no sound or no hearing. Use it for deaf and hard-of-hearing accessibility settings, mute buttons in media players, captions and subtitle toggles, quiet zone signage, and inclusive service pages.

The speaker body is a clean trapezoid attached to a rounded housing, with the arcs stepping outward in even spacing so the strike-through stays legible. Thick strokes hold up at button sizes. It pairs with the unmuted speaker, sign language and captions icons; keep both states the same weight when toggling.

This is the solid black filled version of the deaf muted speaker icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
