Zoom Out Magnifier black outline icon
Magnifying glass with a minus sign in the lens and a long angled handle
About the Zoom Out Magnifier black outline icon
A round magnifying glass tilted to the lower right holds a single short minus bar in the center of its lens, with a narrow neck joining a long straight handle that ends in a rounded cap. It is the standard reduce-view control, used in map interfaces, photo and document viewers, PDF readers, design tools, dashboards and accessibility text-size settings.
The lens is a clean circle with plenty of empty space so the minus stays the focal point, and the handle runs at about 45 degrees, roughly as long as the lens is wide. Pair it directly with a matching zoom in and a search icon. At 16px, keep the minus bar full width so it does not vanish.
This is the black outline version of the zoom out magnifier icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
