A magnifying glass drawn with a double-ringed lens holds a centered horizontal minus bar, with a long rounded handle angling to the lower right. The minus makes the action unmistakable: reduce scale, step back, see less detail. Use it in map zoom controls, image and PDF viewers, photo galleries, design tool toolbars, accessibility text-size settings and data chart scaling widgets.

The lens is noticeably larger than the handle and uses two concentric circles, giving the glass a rim that reads as optical rather than flat. The handle tapers with a soft cap. It is the direct counterpart to the zoom in and search icons in the library — keep both at identical sizes so toolbar buttons align.
