About the Volume black outline icon

A speaker is drawn as a small rounded square body opening into a wide trapezoid cone, with two concentric arcs radiating to the right to show sound leaving it. The arcs signal an active, audible level rather than mute, so the mark belongs on media player controls, volume sliders, notification sound settings, video call toolbars, podcast apps and streaming interfaces.

The cone tapers from a narrow base to a tall vertical face, and the two waves differ in length so the emission reads as expanding outward. Pair it with mute, headphones, microphone and bell icons from the same audio group, and swap wave counts to show low, medium and high levels. The thin arcs hold up well at 24 px.

This is the black outline version of the volume icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
