Sigma Summation black outline icon
Greek capital sigma letter used as the mathematical summation sign
About the Sigma Summation black outline icon
The eighteenth letter of the Greek alphabet drawn in its capital form: two diagonals meeting at a sharp point on the left, closed by short flat serifs at the top and bottom right. Beyond the alphabet it is the standard summation operator. Use it on formula editors, spreadsheet sum buttons, statistics dashboards, math courseware and engineering documentation.
The letter is built from straight strokes only, with the apex set slightly below center so the upper arm reads shorter than the lower one, matching typographic convention. It pairs with pi, delta and infinity marks in the same math set. Center it optically rather than on its bounding box.
This is the black outline version of the sigma summation icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
