Key black filled icon
Classic skeleton key with an oval bow and stepped teeth, angled diagonally, outline style
About the Key black filled icon
The icon draws an old-fashioned skeleton key set on a diagonal: a wide oval bow at the top left with a matching oval cut-out, a long straight shank running down to the right, and two square stepped teeth forming the bit at the tip. It stands for access, ownership, unlocking and protection, making it a fit for login and password fields, account security settings, hotel and real estate listings, escape-room branding and API key documentation.
The bow is deliberately large compared to the slim shank, which keeps the silhouette readable when the icon is scaled down, and the angled placement fills the square frame corner to corner. Use it with lock, shield, fingerprint and padlock icons for a consistent security set, and keep it at 20px or above so the two bit teeth stay distinct.
This is the solid black filled version of the key icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
