Hourglass black filled icon
Outline icon of an hourglass with sand fully settled at the bottom
About the Hourglass black filled icon
Two rounded caps connect through a curved glass frame; sand has fully settled into a pile at the bottom chamber while the top chamber sits empty, with a narrow neck between them. It signals time passing, waiting, and deadlines. Useful for loading spinners, countdown timers, waiting screens, and productivity apps.
The silhouette is symmetrical with rounded end caps and a single wavy line marking the settled sand at the base. Pairs well with clock, stopwatch, and calendar icons in the set. Rotate it 180 degrees in CSS for an animated sand-flip loading state.
This is the solid black filled version of the hourglass icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
