About the Hand black outline icon
A solid open palm faces forward with all four fingers extended upward and the thumb angled out to the left, set inside a thin circular badge. The raised-palm gesture carries meanings of stop, wait, halt, greeting and asking permission. Use it for stop and pause controls, access-denied or restricted-area notices, cookie and consent prompts, safety signage and volunteer or raise-hand features in meeting apps.
The palm is filled while the surrounding ring stays a hairline stroke, so the gesture holds contrast against both light and dark backgrounds. Finger gaps are cut wide enough to stay visible when the mark shrinks. It works alongside pointing hand, thumbs up and handshake icons; at 16 px, use the palm alone without the ring.
