About the Colosseum black filled icon
The Colosseum facade is drawn as three stacked tiers of arched openings separated by horizontal cornices, with a diagonal line marking the collapsed upper section of the Roman amphitheater. It works for travel and tourism sites, Rome and Italy city guides, history lessons, museum and landmark maps, and ancient architecture presentations.
Nine even arches sit in a strict grid, so the single diagonal break carries all the character and stops it from reading as a generic arcade. Group it with Leaning Tower, Eiffel Tower and Pantheon icons; at small sizes the arches merge, so 32 px is a good minimum.
This is the solid black filled version of the colosseum icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
