Yen black outline icon
Japanese yen currency sign, a Y shape crossed by two horizontal bars
About the Yen black outline icon
The yen currency sign drawn as a bold Y, its two diagonal arms meeting at a central stem that is crossed by two parallel horizontal bars. It marks prices, balances and exchange values in Japanese currency, and the same glyph is used for the Chinese yuan. Use it in ecommerce price fields, checkout and payment method lists, banking dashboards, currency converters, and market reports.
The strokes are even in weight and the two crossbars extend the same distance either side, giving the mark a stable, typographic look. It lines up with dollar, euro, pound and rupee signs from the same currency set, so keep the stroke width consistent when you place several together.
This is the black outline version of the yen icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
