About the Volume Speaker Waves black filled icon
A solid speaker built from a small rectangular base and a wide flared cone, with two nested curved arcs radiating to the right to show sound leaving it. Two waves rather than three read as a medium level, which makes it ideal for media player volume controls, mute and unmute toggles, video call audio settings, notification sound preferences and smart speaker dashboards.
The filled cone gives heavy visual weight balanced by the thin open arcs, and the arcs share a common center so the spacing stays even. It belongs to a scale with the no-wave mute and three-wave loud variants, so swap between them on the same slider. The solid mass keeps it sharp even at 16 px.
