About the Tilde black filled icon
A single wide S-curve sweeps from a squared left end down through a trough and up over a crest to a squared right end, giving the tilde real stroke thickness rather than a hairline. Use it for keyboard layouts, code editor toolbars, markdown and strikethrough controls, math notation panels and language settings where accent marks matter.
The wave is drawn as a closed outline so the stroke tapers slightly at the turns, which keeps it readable against text. Its low, wide footprint sits well next to asterisk, hash and ampersand glyph icons in the same typography set. Center it on the baseline when placing it inside a button.
This is the solid black filled version of the tilde icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
