About the Tilde black outline icon
This icon shows the tilde character drawn as one long, gently flowing S-curve with tapered ends, stretched much wider than a standard glyph so the wave shape reads clearly at small sizes. The tilde marks approximation, ranges, accents on letters and home directories in shell paths. Use it in keyboard layouts, code editors, math and notation panels, typography tools, special character pickers and text formatting toolbars.
The stroke keeps an even weight along its whole length, rising on the right and dipping on the left so the curve stays balanced on the baseline. It sits naturally beside other punctuation and math marks such as the hyphen, asterisk and equals sign. Because the shape is wide and thin, give it extra horizontal padding when placing it on a square key cap.
This is the black outline version of the tilde icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
