An open file folder sits between two long curved arrows that sweep around it in a loop, with a dashed circle on the folder front marking data still in transit. It communicates file sync, scheduled backup and refresh between devices. Use it in cloud storage apps, file manager toolbars, backup settings panels, IT dashboards and onboarding screens.

The arrows nearly close the ring, one pointing left at the top and one right at the bottom, so the loop reads as continuous rotation around the folder. Pair it with cloud upload, download and folder icons. The circular form also animates well as a spinning progress state.
