About the Square Root black outline icon
The bare radical sign: a short lead-in stroke, a deep V, then a long horizontal vinculum running to the right with room for a radicand beneath it. It stands for square roots, radicals and mathematical operations generally. Use it on calculator keypads, scientific app toolbars, math and physics lesson materials, formula editor buttons, and engineering or statistics dashboards.
Uniform thin strokes and an asymmetric wide format keep the glyph true to typeset notation rather than boxing it into a square. The long bar gives the eye a clear baseline. Pairs with pi, sigma and percent marks; center it optically, not geometrically, in round buttons.
This is the black outline version of the square root icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
