Speech Bubble black filled icon

About the Speech Bubble black filled icon

This design shows two rounded oval speech balloons that overlap, each with a small folded tail at the bottom. The front bubble carries three evenly spaced dots, the familiar sign that someone is typing or that a reply is on its way. Together they read as a two-way conversation rather than a single message, which suits chat threads, live support widgets, comment sections, community forums and contact pages.

Both balloons use the same wide ellipse proportion, so the back one reads as a second speaker peeking out behind the first. The dots sit on the horizontal centre line of the front bubble for balance. Pair it with a headset, envelope or question mark icon in a help menu; at 16 px keep the dots visible by avoiding extra scaling of the stroke.

This is the solid black filled version of the speech bubble icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
