About the Settings black outline icon
A single cogwheel with eight squared teeth spaced evenly around the rim and a wide empty circle at its hub, leaving a clean ring between the two. It is the standard mark for configuration and control, so it belongs in app settings menus, navigation bars and tab bars, account preferences panels, admin dashboards, device and system setup wizards, and maintenance or tooling sections of a product site.
The open center keeps the shape light and legible, and the teeth are broad enough not to alias when scaled down. Line weight matches the toolbar family, so it sits beside user, bell, search and lock icons without adjustment. Use 24px in toolbars; rotate it slightly only if you animate it.
