About the Screw black filled icon
A wood screw runs diagonally across the frame from upper left to lower right: a flat head with a straight drive slot cut into it, a long shank marked by a ladder of angled thread ridges, and a sharp tapered point at the end. It communicates fastening, assembly and repair, and suits hardware store categories, DIY and furniture assembly guides, tool-rental sites, maintenance dashboards and settings or configuration menus.
The repeating thread lines run at a consistent angle along the shank, which reads as spiral threading without any shading, and the diagonal placement uses the full square. Pair it with bolt, nut, wrench and screwdriver icons. At small sizes reduce the thread count to four or five marks to stop them merging.
This is the solid black filled version of the screw icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
