Two tools lie in an X: an open-ended wrench with jaws at both tips runs from lower left to upper right, while a screwdriver with a ridged grip crosses it in the opposite direction. The pair is common shorthand for repair and settings, useful on maintenance dashboards, garage and service websites, support menus, hardware stores and app preference screens.

Both tools are drawn at the same length so the crossing point sits at the center of the frame, keeping the icon balanced on a button. Use it with gear, screw and toolbox icons; below 24 px the grip ridges merge, so a simplified version reads better.
