Inside a thin circular badge sit two square camera frame brackets enclosing a solid red dot and the word REC. It reads instantly as an active recording state, the viewfinder overlay seen on camcorders and screen capture tools. Use it on video editing apps, screen recorder buttons, streaming and webinar toolbars, podcast dashboards, and TV or media production presentations.

The bracket pair is squared off with open top and bottom edges, the dot sits left of the lettering, and the enclosing ring gives it a button footprint. Only the record dot is colored, which keeps the state obvious. Pair it with play, pause and camera icons. Use at button size, 24 px and up, so REC stays readable.
