About the Quill Feather black filled icon
A single slender feather drawn in profile, with a narrow leaf-shaped vane, small notches along both edges where the barbs separate, a visible central rachis line and a long bare quill tapering to a sharp point below. It reads instantly as a writing plume rather than a decorative plume, which makes it useful for blog and author bylines, e-signature flows, publishing and CMS toolbars, poetry or literature apps, and stationery packaging.
The silhouette leans diagonally, keeping the vane in the upper two thirds and the bare shaft angling down to the lower right, so it balances well beside ink, pen and book icons from the library. The thin notch details need room: at 16 px use the fill version, and reserve the outline for 24 px and above.
This is the solid black filled version of the quill feather icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
