A near-complete circle opens at the top, where a short rounded vertical bar sits in the gap, forming the universal on/off mark used on hardware and software controls. It signals switching a device on, shutting down, logging out or ending a session. Use it in device dashboards, settings and account menus, smart-home and IoT apps, kiosk and POS screens, and hardware product diagrams.

The ring is drawn as a double contour with the ends squared off cleanly against the bar, keeping the gap crisp at small sizes, and the bar is centered so the whole mark stays balanced in a square. Pair with restart, sleep and lock icons in the controls set. Safe down to 16px.
