About the Play black outline icon
This design shows the universal play control: a right-pointing triangle drawn as an open outline and centered inside a large thin circle. Both shapes use the same light stroke, so nothing is filled in. It communicates start, resume and watch, making it a direct fit for video player overlays, podcast and music app transport bars, course lesson lists, thumbnail hover states and presentation demo slides.
The triangle is set slightly right of true center so it looks optically balanced inside the ring, and the generous space around it keeps the mark clean at any scale. It pairs with pause, stop, next, previous and volume icons in the same media control set. The light stroke needs 24px or larger to stay crisp on a busy video thumbnail.
