Pen black outline icon
Outline ballpoint pen on a diagonal with a clip at the cap end and a pointed nib
About the Pen black outline icon
A slim ballpoint pen runs corner to corner, its barrel drawn as a long parallel-sided shaft that tapers to a pointed nib at the lower left, with a stepped cap and a short clip at the upper right. It works for edit and compose buttons, note taking apps, e-signature flows, blog and CMS authoring tools, and stationery or design studio branding.
The barrel is built from two clean parallel lines with a seam running along its length, keeping the diagonal crisp, while the small angled clip is the detail that marks it as a pen rather than a pencil. It matches marker, notebook and signature icons; at 16px the clip merges with the cap, so simplify or scale up.
This is the black outline version of the pen icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
