Two evenly spaced vertical bars sit at the center of a circle, which is enclosed by a second, wider ring so the control reads as a raised round button. It is the universal signal for hold, suspend or interrupt playback. Use it in audio and video player bars, podcast apps, screen recorders, timer and stopwatch widgets, and process dashboards where a running job can be halted.
The concentric rings give the mark a clear target area, and the two bars are kept short relative to the inner circle so whitespace stays balanced. It matches the play, stop and skip marks in the same ring family. Center it on a square touch target of at least 44 px for comfortable tapping.
