About the Paperclip black filled icon
A single paperclip stands upright, drawn as one continuous wire that curves into a wide rounded top, runs down the left side, sweeps around a U-turn at the bottom and rises again into a shorter inner bar. The tapered end sits just inside the outer loop. It is the universal cue for attaching a document. Use it on email compose bars, chat input fields, upload controls, note-taking apps and office or stationery product pages.
Proportions lean tall and narrow, roughly two to one, with generous corner radii that make the wire read as smooth metal rather than folded angles. The gap between inner and outer runs is wide enough to survive downscaling. Pair it with envelope, file and pin icons; at 16 px keep the stroke at least 1.5 px so the loop does not fill in.
This is the solid black filled version of the paperclip icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
