Open External Link black outline icon

About the Open External Link black outline icon

This icon shows a rounded square outline with an arrow breaking out from its bottom-left corner and pointing diagonally outward. It represents opening an external link, leaving the current page or exporting content. Use it for buttons, navigation menus, share options, download links and external-resource indicators.

The square stays mostly closed while the arrow crosses its border at the bottom-left, unlike typical top-right 'open in new tab' arrows. It pairs well with link, share and export icons in the same set. The unique arrow angle helps it stand out in toolbars.

This is the black outline version of the open external link icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.

It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
