An elevator car shown as a tall door frame with a lamp above it, a standing passenger inside and a panel of triangular up and down call buttons at the right, all crossed by a single diagonal bar. It states that the lift is out of service or must not be used, the standard instruction during a fire evacuation. Use it on building signage, emergency exit plans, facility maps, maintenance notices and safety training slides.
The slash runs corner to corner over the whole cabin so the prohibition is obvious even in a glance, while the figure and the two arrow buttons keep the elevator readable underneath.
