A capsule shaped sensor housing with a round lens at its center, drawn as two concentric rings around a solid dot, and two pairs of curved arcs spreading above and below it to show detection waves. It reads as active sensing and alerting, so it fits home security product pages, alarm system dashboards, smart home apps, building automation diagrams and installation guides.

The symmetrical wave pairs, short arc nearest the body and wider arc beyond, imply coverage in both directions without arrows. The lens rings keep the center dense so the icon holds together visually. Pair it with camera, door sensor and siren icons, and use 32 px or larger to keep the arcs separate.

This is the solid black filled version of the motion detector icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
