Map black outline icon
Folded paper map in perspective with crossing route lines and a location pin above it
About the Map black outline icon
A paper map is drawn as a wide trapezoid that narrows toward the top, with two long diagonal lines crossing its surface like roads and a teardrop location pin with a hollow circle rising from the upper edge. It stands for navigation, destinations and trip planning, which fits travel booking apps, store locator pages, delivery tracking screens, event venue sections and tourism presentations.
The perspective shape makes the sheet read as a table top map rather than a flat rectangle, and the pin breaks past the top edge so it stays the focal point. Route lines are thinner in feel than the border, keeping the hierarchy clear. Pair it with compass, route and globe icons, and use 24px or larger so the pin hole stays open.
This is the black outline version of the map icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
