About the Layers black outline icon
Five flat rhombus plates sit one above another in an isometric stack, each separated by a thin gap so the individual sheets stay countable. The arrangement reads as depth, structure and organized content, which makes it useful for design tool toolbars, map layer panels, file and database diagrams, CSS or Photoshop tutorials, and slides explaining a system built in tiers.
The top plate is outlined in full while the four beneath show only their front edges, a trick that keeps the stack light at small sizes. Use it beside folder, grid and stack icons, and give it equal padding on all sides so the wide diamond stays visually centered.
