About the Ladder black filled icon
Two long parallel rails run the full height of the frame and are joined by four evenly spaced horizontal rungs, forming a plain straight ladder with no feet or hinge. It reads both literally as access equipment and figuratively as steps, levels and climbing upward, which suits construction and trade websites, maintenance service pages, safety training material, hardware store catalogs, and career or progress diagrams.
The rails are drawn as narrow closed bars rather than single lines, giving the icon enough weight to hold up in a toolbar, and the rung spacing is regular so it scales cleanly. It sits well with hammer, toolbox and hard hat icons. Rotating it slightly adds a sense of use when the straight version looks too static in hero art.
This is the solid black filled version of the ladder icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
