Genetic black outline icon
DNA double helix drawn diagonally with paired ladder rungs between strands
About the Genetic black outline icon
Two strands twist around each other along a diagonal axis, crossed by short parallel rungs that read as base pairs, with the helix tapering to open ends at the top right and bottom left. It stands for heredity, genome research and life science generally, suiting biotech company sites, lab report headers, DNA testing services, medical study slides and biology course material.
The corner-to-corner diagonal gives the shape more energy than an upright helix and fills the square evenly. Rung spacing tightens toward the middle where the strands cross, adding depth. Pair it with microscope, molecule and test tube icons, and keep strokes at 2 px or heavier so rungs do not merge.
This is the black outline version of the genetic icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
