Galaxy black outline icon
Outline icon of a spiral galaxy with sweeping curved arms and small scattered stars
About the Galaxy black outline icon
This icon renders a spiral galaxy as a set of long, tapering curved arms wrapping an oval core, with small four-point sparkle stars scattered around the outer edge. The tilted, elongated disc gives it a sense of rotation and depth that a flat circle cannot. It suits astronomy and stargazing apps, science education material, space-themed game and app interfaces, planetarium or museum signage, and sci-fi presentation and poster layouts.
The arms are drawn as calligraphic strokes that thicken at the middle and thin at the tips, so the spiral reads as motion rather than concentric rings. Star accents are deliberately asymmetric to avoid a static, patterned look. It pairs with the planet, rocket and telescope icons in the same space set; give it plenty of surrounding padding so the thin arm tips do not clip.
This is the black outline version of the galaxy icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
