About the Face Id black outline icon
A thick angular bracket marks the upper left corner of a frame, with a short vertical stroke sitting at the lower right, so the eye completes the missing capture area between them. It reads as the scan frame drawn around a face during biometric unlock. Use it in Face ID and login prompts, camera capture screens, document scanning flows and identity verification onboarding.
Strokes are heavy with rounded caps and plenty of empty space, which suits an overlay drawn on top of a live camera view. Pair it with fingerprint, face scan and lock icons; because no face is drawn, add a label when it appears on its own.
This is the black outline version of the face id icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
