A diagonal escalator runs from upper right to lower left with flat landings at both ends, a simplified standing figure at the top with a rounded head, and a long arrow beside the ramp pointing down toward the lower landing. It reads immediately as descending between floors. Use it for shopping mall and airport wayfinding, station and transit maps, building floor plans, accessibility route guides and venue directory screens.
The escalator line and the arrow run parallel, which keeps the direction unmistakable, and the landings are drawn as open rectangles so the travel path stays the brightest part of the shape.
