Eclipse black outline icon
Cratered moon overlapping a spiked sun disc, leaving a crescent of the sun visible
About the Eclipse black outline icon
A round sun drawn with a jagged, spiked corona sits behind a cratered moon that overlaps it from the right, leaving a crescent of sun visible on the left. The moon carries circles of several sizes for craters. It reads as a solar eclipse, an astronomical event or a night-and-day transition, and works in astronomy apps, planetarium sites, science lesson slides, weather widgets and event countdown pages.
Two overlapping discs of nearly equal size create the crescent, while the ray spikes are kept short so the outer silhouette stays compact. The crater dots are deliberately uneven in scale for a natural surface. It pairs with moon phase, planet, star and telescope icons; use 32px or larger so the small craters survive.
This is the black outline version of the eclipse icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
