DNA black filled icon
DNA double helix drawn diagonally with short rungs linking the two twisted strands
About the DNA black filled icon
Two curved backbones twist around each other along a diagonal, joined by short parallel rungs that crowd together where the strands cross and open out at the wider turns. The shape stands for genetics, heredity, molecular biology and research. Use it in biotech websites, lab report headers, medical test result screens, science course material and health app sections.
The helix runs corner to corner with free ends that hook outward, so it fills a square frame on the diagonal. Pair it with microscope, molecule and test tube icons; rotate it upright if you need a narrower column, and keep it above 24 px so the rungs stay separate.
This is the solid black filled version of the dna icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
