Digging black outline icon
Shovel driven into a mound of earth with loose soil nearby
About the Digging black outline icon
A long-handled shovel stands driven into a raised mound of earth, its blade half buried while small chunks of loose soil sit to either side. It communicates excavation, groundwork and manual labor rather than finished building. Use it on construction company sites, utility and pipeline notices, landscaping and gardening services, mining or quarry reports, and site-safety signage that marks where ground work is underway.
The mound forms a broad, uneven silhouette that anchors the shovel at a diagonal, so the mark stays dynamic instead of static. The D-grip handle reads clearly even when scaled down. Pairs with hard hat, excavator and pickaxe icons. At small sizes, drop the loose soil chunks and keep shovel and mound.
This is the black outline version of the digging icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
