Cursor Text black filled icon
Outline I-beam text cursor with curved top and bottom ends and a center crossbar
About the Cursor Text black filled icon
A tall vertical I-beam with softly curved, flared caps at the top and bottom and a short horizontal crossbar at the midpoint — the classic mouse pointer shape shown when hovering selectable or editable copy. It communicates text entry, selection and caret placement, making it a natural fit for rich-text editors, form field states, code editors, comment boxes and design-tool toolbars where a text mode needs its own control.
The stroke is thin and even, the beam is narrow and much taller than it is wide, and the mid crossbar keeps the silhouette readable at small sizes. It sits alongside arrow pointer, hand pointer and move cursor icons in the library. Because the shape is slender, give it a little extra tap area in toolbars rather than scaling the glyph itself.
This is the solid black filled version of the cursor text icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
