A capital letter C with an open right side sits at the centre of two evenly spaced concentric circles, giving the familiar copyright mark an extra outer ring. It stands for authorship, ownership and licensed content, and works in website footers, terms and legal pages, image and stock photo credits, publishing and music metadata screens, and document watermarks or rights notices.
