About the Compass black filled icon
A circular compass drawn as two concentric rings with a slim arrow needle pointing diagonally up and to the right, split along its center line so each half reads as a separate pole. It communicates direction, navigation, exploration and finding your way. Use it in map and GPS apps, travel booking sites, outdoor and hiking guides, browser or discovery buttons, and mission or vision slides about setting a course.
The double ring gives the dial a bezel-like depth while the needle's long, narrow diamond keeps the pointing direction unmistakable. Everything sits on a perfectly round footprint, so it aligns neatly with other circular UI glyphs. It pairs with map, pin and globe icons. At small sizes, drop the inner ring to avoid a moiré effect.
This is the solid black filled version of the compass icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
