About the Code black outline icon

Two thin angle brackets face each other, with a long diagonal slash running between them from top right to bottom left, forming the familiar closing-tag shorthand for source code. It signals programming, markup and developer-facing features. Use it on embed and view-source buttons, API documentation navigation, IDE and code editor toolbars, developer portfolio sections, and tech course or bootcamp materials.

Strokes are uniformly hairline and the slash is noticeably taller than the brackets, giving the mark a wide, airy stance that suits minimal interfaces. It pairs with terminal, branch and bug icons in the same thin-line set. Because the strokes are so fine, render it at 24 px or above or switch to the filled style.

This is the black outline version of the code icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.

Download it free as a scalable SVG vector or transparent-background PNG in seven sizes (16 to 512px), copy the SVG code straight into your project, or open it in the free online editor to change colors, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, animate it, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
