One paper clip runs corner to corner across the frame, formed from a long outer loop that wraps around a shorter inner loop, both with fully rounded ends. It is the universal shorthand for attaching a file or linking a document. Use it on email attachment buttons, chat message input bars, file upload fields, note taking apps, project brief covers and office supply product pages.
The diagonal placement fills the square more evenly than an upright clip would and makes the two nested loops easy to tell apart. The inner loop stops short of the outer bend, leaving the small gap that reads as wire. Pair it with folder, document and pin icons; at 16px keep the stroke at one pixel so the loops do not merge.
