Category black outline icon
Three square outlines stacked with a diagonal offset, representing a category or content group
About the Category black outline icon
Three identical squares sit stacked and offset behind one another, forming a simple layered pile. The overlap reads instantly as several items grouped under one heading, which is why it works for categories, collections, albums and tags. Use it in e-commerce catalog filters, taxonomy menus, admin dashboards, file manager sidebars and slide decks that explain how content is sorted.
Each square uses the same stroke weight and square corners, with even diagonal offsets that keep the stack readable at small sizes. It pairs with folder, tag, grid and filter icons in the library. Below 20 px, reduce to two squares so the parallel lines do not merge.
This is the black outline version of the category icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
