Two oval note heads sit on upright stems joined at the top by a pair of parallel beams, the standard way sixteenth notes are written together. The pair reads as music, melody and audio anywhere it appears. Use it for media player controls, playlist and album covers, ringtone and sound settings, concert listings and karaoke or podcast apps.

The note heads are drawn as open ellipses tilted to the left, giving the mark a handwritten slant, and the two beams leave a thin gap between them. It sits well beside headphone, speaker and microphone icons; below 20 px the beams can merge, so scale up.

This is the black outline version of the beamed music notes icon: even, monoline strokes that stay crisp at small sizes and suit clean, minimal interfaces, wireframes and light backgrounds.
