Aperture black filled icon
Outline camera aperture with six angled blades forming a hexagonal center opening
About the Aperture black filled icon
Six straight blades meet inside a plain circle to form the classic iris diaphragm, leaving a hexagonal opening at the center. The shape stands for photography, lens settings, exposure and focus, and doubles as a shutter or optics mark. Common in camera and photo editing apps, gallery and portfolio sites, video production tools, settings panels for f-stop controls and photographer branding.
The outer ring is a single unbroken circle while the blade lines rotate at equal angles, giving the mark a balanced pinwheel motion. The clean geometry holds up when scaled down or used as a logo element. It pairs with camera, lens, shutter speed and ISO icons; below 20 px the inner blade joins can blur, so add stroke weight.
This is the solid black filled version of the aperture icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.
It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
