About the Ankh black filled icon

The ankh is drawn with a narrow teardrop loop that comes to a point where it meets a bowtie-shaped crossbar, below which a slightly flaring stem drops to a flat base. It carries the ancient Egyptian meaning of life, eternity and divine protection. Works on museum and history sites, mythology games, tattoo and jewelry catalogs, spiritual or esoteric apps, and lesson slides on ancient Egypt.

The pointed loop and angled crossbar give this version a hand-carved feel rather than the usual rounded oval, which helps it stand apart in a symbol grid. It pairs with pyramid, scarab, Eye of Horus and pharaoh icons. At small sizes the inner loop line closes up, so use 24px or more.

This is the solid black filled version of the ankh icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.

It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
