American Rugby Ball black filled icon

About the American Rugby Ball black filled icon

A pointed oval ball is drawn on a diagonal, with a row of short stitched laces running along its upper center and curved seam bands wrapping both tapered ends. The shape is the standard American football, so it stands for gridiron sport, match day, competition and team spirit. Use it in sports score apps, fixture and league schedules, fantasy football tools, fan merchandise stores and tailgate or event flyers.

The diagonal tilt gives the ball motion, while the paired end seams and the evenly spaced lace ticks supply the detail that separates it from a plain rugby ball or an egg shape. It pairs with helmet, whistle, trophy and scoreboard icons for a full sports set. Keep it at 24px or larger so the individual laces stay countable.

This is the solid black filled version of the american rugby ball icon: a bold silhouette that reads clearly at 16-24 px and on dark or busy backgrounds, and prints well in one colour.

It downloads free as an SVG vector or transparent PNG in seven sizes, and the free online editor lets you recolor it, apply gold, silver, neon and gradient styles, add animation, or convert it to EPS, PDF and DXF.
